Claudine Weddings

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which types of cookies are used on claudineweddings.it, what they are used for, and how you can manage or disable them. It complements the Privacy Policy and forms an integral part of it. It has been drafted in compliance with the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021 and with European regulations (GDPR and ePrivacy Directive).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit save on your device (computer, tablet or smartphone) while browsing. They are used to make the website function correctly, to remember your preferences, to measure website usage, or to enable third-party services embedded in the pages.

In addition to cookies, there are other similar technologies (such as local storage, pixel tags, web beacons) that perform similar functions. For simplicity, this policy refers to all of them with the generic term ''cookies''.

Cookies can be classified according to several criteria:

  • By owner: first-party cookies (set directly by the website you are visiting) or third-party cookies (set by different domains).
  • By duration: session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (kept for a defined period).
  • By purpose: technical cookies (necessary for operation) or non-technical cookies (experience, measurement, marketing) — the latter require your consent before being installed.

2. Data Controller

The Data Controller for the data collected through cookies is Claudia Bidasio (VAT no. 03836180988), Via Montegrappa 1, 25052 Piancogno (BS), Italy. For any matter regarding cookies or the exercise of your rights you can write to info@claudineweddings.it.

For full details about the Data Controller, the purposes of processing and your rights, please see the Privacy Policy.

3. Types of cookies used

On claudineweddings.it I use three categories of cookies. Below you will find the details for each category, including the services involved, their purpose and their privacy safeguards.

Technical and functionality cookies (necessary)

These are essential for the proper operation of the website and to provide the services you request. They do not require your consent and cannot be disabled without compromising the use of the website.

Experience cookies

These allow the website to offer you advanced features and third-party multimedia content, such as video playback. They are installed only after your explicit consent.

YouTube — Google Ireland Limited

Purpose: Playback of videos embedded in the Wedding Lounge and Portfolio sections of the site.

Country: Ireland (EU) — possible transfers to Google servers in the USA.

Mode: The site uses the youtube-nocookie.com domain (privacy-enhanced mode): cookies are not used for personalised advertising.

Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy

Note: the specific cookies set by YouTube (including VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE, YSC, VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA) may vary over time according to Google''s policies. Up-to-date information is available in the Privacy Policy linked above.

Measurement (analytics) cookies

These help me understand how users interact with the website (most visited pages, time spent, navigation paths) in order to improve content and structure. The data collected are aggregated and anonymous. They are installed only after your explicit consent.

Google Analytics 4 — Google Ireland Limited

Purpose: Aggregated statistical analysis of site usage (visited pages, session duration, devices) to improve content and performance. The data collected is aggregated and anonymous.

Country: Ireland (EU) — possible transfers to Google servers in the USA.

Loaded via: Google Tag Manager (container GTM-T8LXJSF). Neither GTM nor GA4 are loaded until you give consent.

Privacy Policy: business.safety.google/privacy

Note: the _ga and _ga_NKF1ZR1SGB cookies last 2 years. The aggregated data collected on Google Analytics is retained for 14 months (service default setting).

4. Legal basis

The legal bases for the processing of data collected through cookies are:

  • For technical and functionality cookies: the legitimate interest of the Data Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in providing a functioning, secure service that complies with user requests. No consent is required, in line with Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.
  • For experience and measurement cookies: the user's free, specific, informed and revocable consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Consent is collected through the banner that appears on first access to the website and can be modified at any time through the management panel at the bottom of this page.

5. Consent management

On your first visit to the website, you are shown a banner that allows you to:

  • Accept all: you authorise the installation of all cookies (experience and measurement).
  • Refuse: no non-technical cookie will be installed; only those necessary for the operation of the website will be active.
  • Customise: takes you to this page, where you can individually enable or disable each cookie category.

Your choice is stored for 180 days via the technical cookie cookie_consent. After this period, the banner will be shown again to ask for an updated choice.

For Google cookies (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager) I apply a pre-blocking policy: until you give consent to the ''Measurement'' category, no Google script is loaded on the site and no data — not even aggregated or anonymous — is sent to Google servers. When consent is given, Google Tag Manager is dynamically injected and Consent Mode v2 is updated to ''granted'' for the authorised categories. If consent is subsequently withdrawn, Consent Mode v2 is reset to ''denied'' and already-loaded tags stop writing cookies.

You can change your preferences at any time using the panel below:

6. Disabling cookies via browser

In addition to managing cookies through the panel above, you can also manage cookies directly from your browser settings. Please note that completely disabling cookies may compromise the proper operation of the website.

Below are links to the official instructions for the most common browsers:

For more general information about cookies and how to manage them you can visit youronlinechoices.com or allaboutcookies.org.

7. Extra-EU data transfers

The third-party cookies used on the website (Google Analytics 4 and YouTube) are provided by Google Ireland Ltd, based in Ireland. The parent company Google LLC has its headquarters in the United States and, in some cases, data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area.

Such transfers take place in compliance with the GDPR on the basis of the following safeguards:

  • EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission of 10 July 2023): Google LLC is certified.
  • Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

8. Retention of data collected through cookies

The data collected through cookies are retained for the durations indicated in the tables in section 3. Once expired, cookies are automatically deleted from your browser.

You can delete cookies at any time through your browser settings or by using the preferences management panel above.

9. Your rights

At any time you can exercise the rights provided by Articles 15-22 of the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent). For the complete list of rights and how to exercise them, please see the dedicated section in the Privacy Policy.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.

You can update your cookie preferences at any time using the controls below. Changes take effect immediately.

If you refuse experience cookies, videos embedded from YouTube will not play until you re-enable consent. If you refuse measurement cookies, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics will not be loaded and no statistical data will be collected.

Necessary (always active)

Essential for the operation of the website and to remember your cookie choices. They cannot be disabled.

Experience

Allow the playback of YouTube videos embedded in the website.

Measurement

Help me understand how users interact with the website through Google Analytics 4 (aggregated and anonymous data).
